OUR CLINICIANS
More important than an aggregate “years of experience”, at APTA our expertise is verified by our credentials. We are the only clinic in Charlottesville fully staffed by licensed physical therapists who have received Doctorates of Physical Therapy (DPT) and passed rigorous board-certification in Orthopedics (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Specialist certification provides formal recognition for our physical therapists with advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in orthopedic physical therapy and assists consumers and the health care community in identifying these highly-trained physical therapists.
Each physical therapist in our practice demonstrates a life-long commitment to learning by attending at least two continuing education courses per year and by participating in weekly research article reviews and onsite staff continuing education meetings.
In addition, all of our physical therapists are Direct Access Certified. This means patients have access to physical therapy at our clinic without a physician referral when appropriate.
